Clima conditions on the Natal Coast:

KwaZulu Natal is the vacation secret tip. At present the vacation area of the “Joburg” people is still relatively unknown for the English tourist. Climatically, you find here a subtropical climate, along the coast relatively balanced. Summer is the whole year. At the coast the warm Indian Ocean adjusts the temperatures and during winter it is as pleasant as in the summer. The winter temperatures at night are around 10 to 18 degrees C and during the day around 25 degrees C. Summer temperatures over 35 degrees C occur rarely. People are not aware of the fact that the average duration of sunshine is substantially higher here than on Hawaii! At the beaches of the North Coast in KwaZulu Natal one can bathe in the Indian Ocean the whole year around.

Natal has to offer improbably much. If you proceed from Durban, in the periphery up to three hours by car you will find everything the heart probably can desire, golden sandy beaches, blue sea - a paradise for surfers, far hill landscapes, grandiose high mountains, innumerable game reserves, interesting culture places and most different entertainment.

Numerous rivers cross the green softly waved landscape with crystal-clear water from the high country of the Drakensberg. The Midlands is the preferential fishing rod district of South Africa.

Trips around in Natal

Drakensberge, called the roof of South Africa, with mountains high up to 3.500 m. Here particularly recommendable Giants Castle with the highest mountains and the Giants Castle Game reserve in the middle part of the Drakensberge as well as the "Royal Natal park" in the north range and the nearly perpendicularly dropping cliff of the "Amphitheatre" with "Mount aux SOURCES" as the highest mountain (3282 m).

Game reserves are numerously represented in all dimensions. The largest is the "Hluhluwe Umfolozi Game reserve" with – naturally - the "Big Five", lions, elephants, rhinos, buffalos and leopards. In the “Mkuzi Game Reservation” one can win a good view of South Africa’s impressing animal world. The "Greater St. Lucia Wetland Park" is the largest lake south of the equator. Valley of the 1000 Hills

Take time for a trip on the traces of the "Wagon route" of the "large Treks" from Durban in "The back lands" surrounded by thousands of hills so far the eye can see.

Enjoy the unbelievably beautiful landscape. Turn in restaurants or go on a travel with "1000 Hills the Chou Chou Steam Train". They reach the area of Durban in 30 minutes´ drive on the N3.
